Learn How to do Wudu A Step-by-Step Guide

What Is Wudu?

Before we may offer salah, we must prepare ourselves spiritually, physically, and intellectually. The main ingredient in the recipe is wudu. Before they may offer prayers, all Muslims must complete this purification process. Before we learn how to do wudu we need to know that  it is so important to the salah that Allah would reject the prayer of anybody who chooses to skip it out of ignorance, carelessness, or ignorance.

How To Do Wudu?

The steps to do Wudu are as follows.

Wudu Steps

Step 1

You must first recognize that the wudu process is about to begin in order to perform salah. At this point, no other comments or advice are required. It takes both mental and emotional energy to develop the intention.

Step 2:

This phase of the wudu procedure is crucial. Before beginning to wash ourselves, we must recite Bismillah, which means “In the Name of Allah.” Silently, you may tell yourself that.

Step 3

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) told us to begin on our right side. Your right hand will thus require three washings, beginning at the fingers and finishing at the wrist.

Make sure the water covers the entire hand. Then, make the identical movements with your left hand three times.

Step 4

Using the water in your right hand, rinse your mouth three times. Do this to make sure your mouth is completely clean.

Step 5

Using your right hand, sniff some water into your nose.

To assist you grasp what we mean, we have used the word “sniff” here. You have to inhale the water into your nose and then exhale it three times. Steer clear of drinking too much water as this might cause harm.

Step 6

Every part of the face has to be cleaned. This includes the space between your ears as well as the space between your chin and forehead. Do these three steps again.

If you’re a male with a beard, rub your wet hands through your beard while washing your face.

Step 7

Wash your right arm three times, working your way up to the elbow from the fingers. Make sure that nothing stays dry. Next, use your left arm to perform the same action three times.

Step 8

Instead of saying “wash,” step 8 tells you to “wipe” your head. The word choice in this instance was intentional. Transfer your moist hands from the top of the forehead to the back of the head and back again. It is only carried out once.

It doesn’t matter what type of hair you have. Whether you have long or short hair, the process remains the same.

Step 9

For this step, utilize the water from step 8. Using your moist hands, you will use your index fingers to wipe the inside of your ears and your thumb to wipe the region behind them. This is done just once.

Step 10

Just as with our hands, we will wash our feet three times. Beginning at the toes and working your way up to the ankle, wash your right foot. Water should come into touch with the whole right foot, especially the area between the toes and the back of the ankle. Three times with your right foot, then three with your left foot, repeat this.

Dua After Wudu

“أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ”

Can We Read Quran Without Wudu

Most scholars believe that touching the Quran without doing wudu is forbidden.

Can We Recite Quran Without Wudu

You can recite the Quran from memory without wudu, but you must avoid touching the Mus-haf.

Does Listening To Music Break Wudu

Islamic scholars differentiate between hearing music (unintentional) and listening to it (intentional). Unintentional hearing, like music from a neighbor or public transport, is generally permissible if one dislikes it in their heart. However, intentionally listening to music or choosing to be in a situation where one controls the music (e.g., one’s own device) is prohibited. If music plays during useful programs, one should mute it.

Does Sleeping Break Wudu

Scholarly views differ on whether sleep breaks Wudu (ablution). The strongest opinion, favored by many scholars, is that deep sleep invalidates Wudu because one loses awareness and might unknowingly pass wind. However, light sleep where one remains aware of their bodily functions does not break Wudu, reconciling various prophetic traditions on the matter.

Does Smoking Break Wudu

Regarding your worry, please be advised that smoking would not cause the wudhū (ablution) to shatter. This is due to the fact that none of the wudhū nullifiers listed below are caused by such an action.
